I want to host a party at my location or at the Art With Kym Studio, what do I need to do?

Hosts are responsible for booking a date and time for the event at least 2 weeks in advance. This applies to all private parties, public events, and fundraising events. All bookings are completed in 4 easy steps. Visit the PRIVATE PARTY page in the upper menu for complete information.

It's P-art-y time! Now, what?

For traveling parties: Expect Kym to arrive 30-45 minutes before your start time to set up. Please have adequate seating and table space for all to work. Kym will bring all art supplies. Hosts are responsible for table coverings.

At the ART WITH KYM STUDIO: All guests should arrive at least 10 minutes prior to party start time. Table & chairs are provided with all supplies. Food & beverages are allowed in the studio space. Ice cream & cake is available for purchase from Whelan's Coffee & Ice Cream located downstairs.

Kym provides the following: Set-up and clean-up, ALL necessary art supplies, guided instruction, a project sample, and will even take photos of you and your guests creating your masterpieces! Plan for Kym to arrive between 30-60 minutes in advance of the start time to allow for set- up. This time will be communicated shortly after the booking process has been completed.

I want to join an already scheduled private party, public event or class near me, what do I need to do?

You must visit the JOIN A PARTY OR CLASS page. Any and all scheduled private parties, public parties, and public classes will be labeled and found here.  Just click 'join' for the party, event, or class that that pertains to you!

Payments

All payments are made online unless, otherwise specified. Contact Kym if you have questions! Cash & check will be accepted for late registrants with an extra charge of $5.00.

What if I am planning on paying for an entire party? 

If you are planning on paying for an entire group to participate, please contact Kym first. She will set up a separate event for you on the  JOIN A PARTY OR CLASS page. From there, you will be able to add and pay for as many participants as you want before the party date (minimum of 5 participants)!

What if I can't attend a private party or event I registered for OR the event is totally cancelled?

All payments are final. Please find the below situation that applies to your cancellation for details:

 Entire private party cancellations by host: If a host must cancel an entire party, they will be given a one time opportunity to reschedule within the next 6 months without completing another payment. This goes for host's who have made a one time payment for all participants. If participants joined and paid individually, they and the host will be given the opportunity to set a new date OR join a public event near them that is of equal or lesser value than what was originally paid. This will be received in the form of a gift certificate to each individual via e-mail within 48 hours of cancellation. Certificates may be used for future private parties of public events as stated above.

Entire public event cancellations by host: In the case of a public event cancellation, participants who have joined and paid individually, will be given a full refund in the form of a gift certificate via e-mail within 48 hours of cancellation. This certificate is valid for participants to join a different public event near them that is of equal or lesser value than what was originally paid. Certificates can be credited towards larger sums or applied to private parties. All certificates must be used within 6 months of being recieved.

Public and private children's class cancellations: 

Since children's classes are compromised as a series of sessions, a class may not be made up since the sessions are run on specific dates. In the case Kym has to cancel a session, that session will be made up at a later date that works for the entire class. Dates will be communicated immediately with families.

 

Cancellations of private parties or events made by Kym: In the unlikely case that Kym has to cancel a party or public event, a full refund in the form of a certificate will be sent to all paid participants via e-mail within 48 hours of the cancellation with an extra $5 amount added to the original price paid. This certificate is valid for participants to join a different public event near them that is of equal or lesser value than the certificate received. Certificates can be credited towards larger sums or applied to private parties. All certificates must be used within 6 months of being recieved.

You must EMAIL Kym within SIX MONTHS of the original cancellation date to redeem your cancellation certificate. Do not Book again online!

 

Please include the following in your e-mail:

• Attach your original class registration confirmation and cancellation certificate received via e-mail at the time of the original cancellation.
   

• State the new party date or location of event that you’d like to attend.
   

• Title your email “Attend A Make-Up party or event with your name”.

 

This option is only valid if all directions are followed and used within 6 months of the original cancellation.

 

Due to confidentiality laws, please do not share why you missed your original party.
